Pakdis Public Joint Stock Company was established on 24th of Tir, 1350 (July 15, 1971) as a private joint stock company with the aim of efficiently utilizing and benefiting from the agricultural products of the region, in the preparation, production, and cultivation of raw materials for the food industry. It also aimed at creating farms, promoting agriculture, purchasing and establishing food factories, particularly for grape processing, and distributing and selling various fruit juices, jams, canned goods, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout Iran. Additionally, it focused on the export and import of all products and needs related to the company’s activities, such as white and red grapes, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, apricots, plums, pomegranates, tomatoes, and using molasses from sugar beet production by sugar factories (for alcohol production). The company was established on a 27-hectare plot of land, with a 26,000 square meter building in 1349 (1970), and its operations began on the 1st of Aban, 1353 (October 23, 1974).
The company is the first and largest producer of fruit juices in packaging formats such as two-pack, CAN cans, concentrate, puree, and tomato paste in Iran. Currently, the company produces a variety of fruit and vegetable juices (both carbonated and non-carbonated), fruit concentrate and puree, carbonated soft drinks and energy drinks, medicinal and industrial alcohol, syrups, fruit juice, vinegar, sesame oil, and various preforms. The company’s trademarks include Sandis, Pakdis, Barleta, Cognet, Webs, Sanda, Qaleh Ganj, Balderlo, Sandis Malt, Noja, and Shahd Sardasht, with most of its products marketed under the well-known "Sandis" brand.
On 4th of Bahman, 1394 (January 24, 2016), the company was converted into a public joint stock company and listed on the second market of the Tehran Stock Exchange. The major shareholders of Pakdis Company are the Foundation of the Oppressed and Disabled and Sina Food Industries Development Company.
